Many thanks. I have corrected it. Should have tested it myself. Will try harder.
I'm in consultation about razor and strop and will look at the guide.
Nice blog. I'll have a good look.Last edited by Fido; 10-27-2009 at 06:26 PM.

Welcome to SRP Fido. Any friend of Niel Miller's is a friend of mine and he knows his stuff. You'll be straight razor shaving successfully sooner than later.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I have spent a lifetime using the knowledge of others. My strategy is to assume I am going to enjoy straight razor shaving and make a success of it. So I have asked Neil to come up with a good quality vintage straight and to make a clear recommendation of one of his good quality strops. I have found that it is often a waste of money going for beginners kit in anything. One usually quickly outgrows it and wishes one went for decent quality in the first place.
Time will tell!

Welcome aboard! This is a great forum and you can find answers to just about all your questions. I actually found a guy through this forum who is local. He honed my razor and taught me how to hone and restore. Here's wishing you many years of fun and learning.
