Onya Mantic!!
Onya Mantic!! Please take up shaving with a straight + make a 'how to' straight video.
I started as a DE shaver after stumbling across another forum in pursuit of a better shave. Your DE video's I think I watched over and over for about a month. They were a great reference point, and were revered as gospel. I'm not sure if you realize just how much they help, particularly newbies. It was after learning DE that led me to straight shaving, which by the way I'm about to start. Funnily enough I went to you tube looking to see if you had produced anything with a straight.
If you manage to produce a 'how to' straight video the shaving community would be most grateful.
Good luck

WOW, and here I didnt really know who this guy was....
Congratz on first attempt mantic, I recall 'butchering' my face the first time, tho in my case was almost a correct analogy. Also, yes I just figured out who you are, funny since I have been watching your youtube videos religiously for weeks now.
It was your vids that convinced me to grab a DE.
Thanks for all the videos, you helped with my poor lathering too!
Hope your next shave goes 'smoother'
James

Mantic, I think it would be good to see your first attempts with a straight, given the experience with DE shaving et al. Gives newcomers a bit of a boost to see someone else in the same boat so to speak.
My first attempt was met with a sore face and ended up finishing with a MachIII. Has only been a short while since then and I have no problems at all now and end up with a very close comfortable shave. Lucky for me I have a goatee which helps. First time tonight I shaved my neck (was a bit bushy to say the least). Just ran my TI over it and the hair fell off in clumps, having a sharp blade helps and I only use a leather belt as a strop which works well for me .. Very awkward trying to do it using several mirrors though - coordination is a bit out which is scary when wielding a very sharp blade. Neck's a bit sore but very smooth.
Look forward to seeing further attempts if you decide to film them.

Just had my 2nd str8 shave. This time I just did two N-S passes. A tiny nick under my nose but no cuts. The shave was very "uneven" but if I got the angle juuuuuust right the results were delightful--the proverbial "hot knife through buttah." I'm sure this is no suprise to anyone here.

Thanked: 44You're probably tired of hearing all the thank you's for your vids, but without your vids I would still be quite lost on lather-making, so thank you.
