I hate to speak for others, but I honestly think that if you send a few PMs to the elder members (in terms of service, not age!) I'm sure someone would be willing to offer some testing equipment for the purposes of learning and creating videos.

I'd be very happy to lend you a nice razor, as a thank you for the videos. They really helped me out when i started with a DE, & that lead me on to try straights!
Please let me know if that would be any use to you?
Oh, forgot to say, welcome over & good to have you here!

Thanked: 1It was your videos that got me into double edged wet shaving. I'm looking forward to seeing the straight razor videos.

Well, I knew it was only a matter of time! I think you've got a good passle of advice, so I'll just add my support. Go for it!

Thanked: 7Mantic,
Your videos taught me much of what I know about wetshaving, and I'm sure you'll find that the members here will always be eager to help. Chances are your first straight shave will be better than 99.99 percent of us mere mortals. I wish you all the luck in the world, and I hope you stick with it.

I'm not sure you could make an authoritive video passing yourself off as an expert any time soon. A better approach would be to assume the role of a newb. Take the viewer through the process as you experiment with what is preached by the experts.
...I love your videos. If anyone can pull it off, you can.

Considering we live a stone's throw away from each other, I'd be willing to work with you a bit on it... I don't want to be in the video though
Seriously, you can use some of my gear to learn on, and I'll do some hands on stuff to help you through the learning curve.
Let me know.
