Default Razor on Order - Thanks SRP

Having lurked on the SRP forum for a few weeks, I had decided the move from double edge safety to SR was inevitable for me, and have been studying up. Plans to buy one of RupRazors starter kits have been simmering. The current discussion in the Razors forum on Golden Dollars was what I needed to pull the trigger. So the order went in yesterday for the starter combo with RupRazor. I am looking forward to receiving it.

So... thanks to all here at SRP who have recommended starting with a shave ready razor for the newbs such as myself... I'm sure it saved me a lot of frustration.

It kept me from even attempting my first SR shave with one of the junktique store finds that followed me home last Saturday. But they will be put to good use as honing skill developers, and some will one day shave again.

Again, my eye was trained by research I did here at SRP. The shop owner offered a package deal on the whole lot that was too good to refuse. It was just my luck that I had seen the list of "Good Straight Razor Brands" and recognized some of the names.

    The journey begins!

Studying up is the the smart way to start. Those are some fine looking razors you brought home with you. Congratulations on your finds and good luck with your first shave. Let us know how it goes.
