    Default newbie introduction

I've been reading the forums and the wiki for about a week now, and I figure it's about time to make a first post and introduce myself. I don't have any equipment as of yet, as I've been reading up on what I may need and what I don't need, but I'm thinking about making my first purchase soon. At any rate, it looks like if I have any unanswered questions lying about, I can get them answered here in a very quick fashion. It's rare that you see a forum this large with people this helpful. At any rate, I'm looking forward to learning more and getting to know you guys. Thanks in advance.

Forgot also pick yourself up some WH(witch hazel) this stuff smell very pungent but is wonderful for razor burn. Can find it in any store that has a pharmacy section for a couple dollars.

Check out Mantics videos and the video section of this forum for great info on lather building, proper stropping and shave techniques.

Also be sure to check out the wiki for all questions you may have. Our members are very helpful and knowledgable (not just about razors) so feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Again welcome to SRP you won't regret the switch

Thanks so much for the welcome and the information. I've been watching Mantic's vids and they're great. I'm going to check out the classified section here soon and see if I can find something I like.

Welcome. I started lurking here about three weeks ago and today was my third partial shave with my straight.

There's a lot of great help here, and that's probably the reason I haven't cut myself yet (knock on wood).
