Thanked: 198looking forward to the daily shave
I have just started using my str8, and i dont know why but for some reason, i have begun to look forward to shaving, not just simple anticipation, but more like a kid on christmas eve. Is this a normal process, or am i the only one with this problem, (that is said very tounge in cheek).

Amongst the regulars here it's quite common.
Amongst the "lemmings" that are using the mock353 and the mini lawn mowers it is probably looked on as weird.

Thanked: 77Yep - welcome to weirdo world!!
It's funny - you get frustrated that your beard doesn't grow quickly enough!
I've been doing this about 4 months now - still look forward to shaving. (Bit like surfers looking for the perfect wave, I'm looking for the perfect shave - though I'm generally happy with a pretty good one!)
All the best,
Michael.

Hi,
In the bad old days when I used to use a Mach 3, I hated shaving with a vengeance
When I switched to 'proper' wet-shaving, using a DE I started to enjoy my shaves.
Now with the straights, the daily shave has become one of the best and most enjoyable parts of my day
Best regards
Russ

I wish I could do the daily shave. My hair grows fast enough that I can do about 1.5 days between shaves, but if I do that it doesn't make for a nice schedule. So I'm a M/W/F shaver. If I am feeling particularly hairy, I may throw in a saturday afternoon shave too. Just depends.
But I love every shave.

Oh yeah...it's normal. Over a year in, and days that I am too rushed to get a proper straight shave (still do the DE route, but perhaps cutting some corners) I feel like I am wasting the shave.
On a sunday, when I know I have plenty of time, and have two days growth, I look forward to it for a good chunk of the day!
