Thanked: 2Oil for blade?
Hey all,
I got quite some of this stuff lying around
it's basically massage oil for babies
Ingredients: Plant oils (rich in essential fatty acids), mineral oils, vitamin enriched complex
I's not being used, so I was thinking I might use it to oil my blade? Just was wondering if it's any good to put on it ;o
thanks!

Let us know how it works. Not the traditional choice, but it might work ok.

For regular maintenance it would probably be fine .. at least I cannot imagine it would damage anything. For storage I would probably go for something closer to pure mineral oil. The plant extracts / fatty acid will probably break down in time which may cause staining etc if left on for months

Thanked: 124I use pure mineral oil from the drugstore. $4 buys you a huge bottle you will never finish in this lifetime.
