I try to use the whole blade evenly as I know I want to keep the wear the same. Its easy to forget this and just use the toe for most of the shave.

When using a sharp point and shaving south along the side cheek, I do blow a little air into the check to insure the point does not catch my skin and cut me during the down stroke. It was my disposable 2" blade that taught me this move.
