Thanked: 286I no people have had pro honed razors and they have said they wern.t sharp enough 9 times out 10 its down to lack of practice the more times you shave the better you will get and then you will apreciate how good a shave can be.

Well It's certain I don't have the tools, nor knowledge to correct the razors performance at this stage, and I can get by with my square point for a while (still does a so-so job) so I'll just ship the 6/8 R.H. off and in the mean time order up a strop, review stropping technique and grin and bear it for a while.
Thanks for the reply/advice.

Willie,
Check your PMs....
Also, I would recommend that you get a microscope if you want to learn to hone. This one is what I would recommend.....
New 100X Power Mini Microscrope LED Light Hobby Coins - eBay (item 330321474080 end time Dec-07-09 06:45:35 PST)
Will let you SEE what you are honing and when it starts to look right. Made all the difference to me.

That's a great idea, would come in handy for a multitude of other things also, and it's a reasonable price. I can use all the help I can get!
Thanks for the help Barry.
