Progress Update
Well I've been sick with a bad flu for four days (fever peaked at over 103) so I've been in bed and not shaved for a while, the scruff was getting thick. Well I'll be going back to work Monday and figured a shave would be in order.
So as I'm shaving I got to an area I've been working on figuring out for a while now, those spots under my chin on either side of my throat. With every shave I get a bit closer to getting it right; stretch a different direction, grip the razor a little different, angle the cut a little different. Every shave seemed to get me closer but not quite there.
Then tonight when I got to those same spots (I have no idea why) I moved my mouth a certain way that seemed to help those hairs stand up just right. I used all the technique I'd been learning but this time when I pulled the razor across I just knew I'd hit it right.
When I was done shaving I cleaned up and checked... damn that is smooth. I'm about two problem spots away from a full BBS shave (so close a can taste it).
Sure I've been at this a few months now and may be learning slower than most, but I'm sure in a year I'm going to miss a shaves that end with a feeling of overcoming a hurdle.

Thanked: 1936I know what you mean, but I haven't gotten the throat & tip of the chin "just" right without a third or fourth touch-up pass. My typical dialy shave is WTG, ATG & touch-ups.
Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott
