Travel Shaving?
So, I have been str8 shaving for all of two weeks now and I think it's going great. Had two good cuts with my vintage Thistle spike point...in the same place. Yeah, I know. I learned that the vintage razor seems to shave better than my New Dovo Special. I can't explain it both were set up by folks who knew what they were doing, the Thistle seems to stay sharper. Anyway, I am leaving this morning for a week's vacation and have made no provisions for Manly shaving. What do you guys do? I will miss my razors and have to shave with that plastic thingie. Carlo

It depends on how I'm traveling. If I'm traveling by airplane and there is a risk that my set up will "get lost" I've put together a DE set up.
For my "normal" travel set up I use this set up:
Travel setup: Böker Celebrated 7/8 + Böker paddle.
Proraso soap + EJ travel brush.Last edited by Otto; 11-28-2009 at 03:34 PM. Reason: Images

Thanked: 1903I bring a pair of cheap straights, my JimboRoo or my Old Traditional strop (both of which roll up easily), a Mühle travel brush, and some cosmetics stuff in a übercool sampler box ben.mid kindly sent me. I need to take pictures of the latter, as it is absolutely perfect.
Travelling with a straight razor - Straight Razor Place Wiki is still awfully neglected, by the way. Feel free to add and amend.
