Thanked: 4Got my razor and first shave!
Now all I need is a strope, brush, and soap..........and another old german razor.
As a side note. Should I wash or wipe the razor dry to get the lather off of it? I know sounds dumb, but I don't want any rust problems.

In my personal experience I found that the best idea is to rinse the blade (not the scales) with the hottest water available on both sides until all the lather has gone. After that, I wipe the blade with a dry towel being careful to not move the towel towards the edge. Finally I make a delicate strop motion on the towel once each side of the blade edge to dry it down. I double check that my scales are completely dry and blow thru them. I put aside the razor open for about 15 minutes and finally I store it. I haven't used oil as I understand that this is usually used on razors that will be stored for a while. I only have two razors in my rotation so they have to work hard to stay in there
Good luck!!
