Thanked: 0Shedding Brush
Hi Everyone,
I recently purchased a Vulfix super badger from classicshaving.com and have noticed the brush has been shedding bristles each time I use it. Is this typical brush behavior? Do I need to do something to "break it in" ? Did I get a bum brush? I'm a complete neophyte. Any and all input is welcome.

Thanked: 37I had a Vulfix that did the same thing. I think I lost six or seven hairs but that was it. I still use it today.

All of my brushes shed a little, and some cost me a pretty penny. Most shed less after time.
Try and avoid using boiling water is my only advice.

Thanked: 0Off topic: I'm familiar with Ludwig von Mises. Have you read Human Action and his other treatise on economics or are you more familiar with his Libertarian ideas? Not to be presumptuous, his economics lives on at mises.org. A few months back one of the economists at econlib did a brief chapter by chapter commentary of For a New Liberty.

Thanked: 234That's good advice. Also, avoid prolonged soaking in super hot water.
I had a brush that basically fell apart, the company replaced it with a better one because it fell apart pretty quickly, but I don't use such hot water and only soak breifly. Water take up is still good and I can't tell any different but this brush has not shed a single hair.
