    Default dubl duck styledge

I've been looking at a Dubl Duck Styledge on ebay..It is advertised as shave ready. Is this Dubl Duck Styledge a good razor?

I have a hard time with ebay razors at this point, unless I know the seller is a member of SRP.. I can't tell yet whether the razors are worthwhile or not. I've admired so many on the classifieds here. You can tell that the descriptions are honest and the restorations are beautiful. When someone on this sight says the razor is shave ready ... I believe them. they are also honest about any imperfections.

anyway this razor interested me and I've been trying to find out about it.. there aren't any in the archive on SRP that match...

Anyone know much about this razor? The description on Ebay is limitted.

    tnx,

    Maq

From what most say on this site, dubl ducks have a good reputation on this site. Ebay sellers claims of "shave ready" do not have the same reputation, but you can always send it to honed if needed.

I thought the styleedge was the one with replaceable blades...like the feather. Not what I'd want.

edit: I looked at the razor and it is not what I said. Its a real straight but Ive not heard it talked about much among the dubl duck styles...

I've seen it mentioned a few times on this site, pretty sure the styledge is their 3/8 model but I could easily be wrong. I have just not seen one yet that is wider.

If your looking for a general shaving razor I would not recommend the Styledge. Its a small razor and its designed for use in trimming. They also made a hair shaper with disposable blades but that's different.

IMO, the 3/8 Styledge would be perfect for trimming a pencil thin moustache or a goatee perhaps. That and around the ears trimming during a hair cut was probably what that little blade was designed for.

I guess you could shave with it in a pinch, but golly, it sure would take a long time! :-)

After some though, Ya know, it might be perfect for those straight razor folk of diminutive size (I have no idea if midget or dwarf is considered pc or insulting or what, excuse my ignorance!)
