I've got a Dovo Shavette that I got for Christmas after wanting a straight for a while now. However, I do have a used M. George & Sons Sheffield on it's way to me after it gets honed(NW, 6/8ths) . I'll be saving up my spare change to try and get my hands on a Wapi one of these days, they look pretty sweet and I've heard a lot of good things about them.

Well I'm at about 20 razors now but 4 of them I haven't restored yet. Started Str8 shaving in September. And yes they are all in my rotation. I only use a razor once a month lol. I'm thinking I should cull the herd abit.

Just started shaving like a man this year (thats 2011) and I currently own 10. I bought them all off of ebay. Bought a set of 6 then a set of 3 and then a single boker king cutter in "shave ready" condition from Canada. I took the ugliest of the bunch and ground the chips out of the edge with a diamond stone. I then finished it off on a natural Chinese wet stone I also purchased off of ebay. The one I honed myself shaves just as good as the "shave ready" one I bought. I am going to send a few out for professional hone just as soon as I save up some more$ Can't wait I tell you. I dig this

Thanked: 70When I started, 1. For years, it was my only razor.
It went away, so I am shopping for a replacement.

Thanked: 1I'm about two months in. I have 10 with another on the way. One is new from SRD, the others are ebay purchases. I've honed several of the ebay purchases and have used 5 different razors so far. I'm trying out different grinds and manufacturers.
I love to catch trout on flies I have tied myself, and am getting the same satisfaction from shaving with a razor I've honed myself. I recently bought a wedge and just can't seem to get it shave ready, so I'll probably send that one out.

I agree on the honing of the wedge being difficult.
I have a few near wedges that I've tried honing. Gotten close, but I prefer Extra hollow ground. Havent tried an actual wedge yet, have a few in the box waiting for restoration.

Same here. Now I have 12 working and one I'm working on. I don't shave with all of them all the time, but they are ready. I just wanted to see if there was one razor that I liked more than the rest. I realize now that there is mainly a difference in peoples preferences and small differences in good razors. The emphasis on "good" of course.
I came to SRP following a link to the Wiki to check out a razor on ebay. Since that time my interest in vintage and unusual razors has become something of a hobby. I've learned many things that I was unaware of about shaving and shave gear since finding SRP. Many great folks also. I still haven't figured out how to use more than one razor at a time.
