Thanked: 0How do you guys store your collections
Ok so we have a restored shaver on the way that Ramon made beautiful for us. I have almost all the supplies ( thank God for the lists you guys post) that he will need to get started. We even have several practice blades that he can practice stropping and whatever with. Have a couple more blades that need to be honed and sharped so he has a little rotation going( and they were free so my bank account is happy about that development). BUT where do you store all this stuff. I would have to give up the medicine cabinet at this point and get a lock for it to keep all the kids out. Soooo what do you do with all your shaving gear?
I had an idea that the kids and I could make him a nice felt lined wooden box to store his new treasures in but I am not sure if that would be appropriate. I even have my dad volunteering to build the box and maybe add a bit of carving to it to get this project started. Would that work? I would love to see what others use to hold their collections.

Go to member services in the classifieds section of the forum and look for SRP member oldblades and you can get some ideas from his work.

That would certainly work, don't forget to come back and show off when you make it, or even better take photos along the way and share the whole process. I think the workshop section would be a nice place for such thread and you may also get help with ideas.

Thanked: 9I use one of these! Found one in a garage sale for $5, and the razors fit it perfectly. Looking at it, you'd never imagine it was originally for fancy pens.

Nothing fancy for me. I use clear plastic hinged fishing lure boxes. They're inexpensive. I wrap each razor in tissue paper and stick multiple razors in each section.
