    Default Simple Tip for Stretching

I've always had a problem getting a good grip on my face for stretching the skin out and it got worse at the end of the shave when I rub my face to find any loose whiskers or rough spots for a touch up. During my last shave I was holding a paper towel to wipe off the blade and just happened to hold my face with the paper. Turns out that dry paper towel or toilet paper works really well for me to get a grip on my skin.

If anyone else has trouble with wet or lathery hands, try this. It's not exactly a "brilliant" idea but it worked for me. HTH.

The way my shaving area is laid out I have a towel hanging immediately to my left. I reach over and wipe my fingers if there is any moisture on them. The paper towel idea sounds like a winner though.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I hear rubbing your fingertips on an alum block will get the same results, but as I don't have one of those, I think the paper trick may work for me when needed.

I figured out that one of my big problems in addition to wet fingers was a wet face. When I rinsed off my face, I left water well up onto my cheeks. Now I take a towel and dry that strip off just above my lather, dry my fingers and I'm good to go.
