    Default First complete shave!

This morning marks my first complete SR shave, without completion or touch-up with the Mach 3. Hurray! Packages arrived yesterday with the Tweezerman brush and Proraso cream. (For my first three partial shaves, I used samples from The Art of Shaving, and just lathered up the best I could without a brush.)

The shave went very well - only one tiny nick that didn't require any attention. Now that my face has had a chance to dry out, I see that I'm not going to get a really close shave until I can work up to ATG passes. (With my Mach 3, I just start ATG - I don't even bother going WTG, as it doesn't cut anything at all.)

Prep was just a lot of hot water, and the Proraso made a great lather. My razor from Pete is still cutting very cleanly, despite my strop not being here yet. AS was a sample of TAOS balm.

    Feelin' good!

    Cheers, Fred

That is a nice feeling. I remember how good I felt when I no longer needed the DE to finish my shaves. You'll find the closeness comes as you figure out stretching techniques that work for you, blade angle improvements and direction of attack for your particular beard map. Congrats
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
