just getting started
Hello everyone,
So I am 50, bought a chopper last year, somehow got reading threads on straight razors and have decided to delve even deeper into my mid life change. Plus, I hate the crap they put out for disposable razors. I have tried everything out there. I have always gotten chaf (sp) scraps ever since I first started shaving. My whiskers are the type that they go every direction, mostly on my neck. I hope this takes care of it. I certainly don't mind taking on this new endeavor. I will pass this on to my 14 year old (boy - hehe) too. Anyway, my biggest question is there a newbie type of setup where you can buy all the contents together just to get started? I do not want to spend lots just to see if I like it -- and if the results are what I hope to achieve. Anyone have any ideas?? Will continue reading... See ya all!

also note that you have to be reasonably committed to putting some time and effort to it, you shouldn't expect to get really good results at least for few months. a straight razor gives you a lot more control so it takes time before you can actually do it right
