Default Does this happen to you?

I notice that when I stretch the skin on my chin that as my whiskers stand up, they pull the skin at the base of the whisker a little too, so I end up with little bumps across my chin. While I don't get little nicks at the base of each whisker, I do notice my chin is typically a little more raw than the rest of my face. Anyone else's face/beard behave this way? How do you deal with it or do just shave as normal?

I don't use a pull to shave my chin/moustache area, for the moustache I open my mouth really wide to pull the skin tight, and for the beard/chin, I pull my lip over my bottom teeth, and open my mouth wide, that pulls the beard/chin area tight and flat... works for me, no burn after two passes...

Hope this helps, I can probably take a picture if you need, but I ain't got a pretty mug

Toughest spot on my map is the tip/end of my chin. I take my forefinger and thumb and put them on either side of my chin and stretch towards my ears. I go side to side and then up from underneath to over the top. I use the part of the blade towards the heel to get that area. No bumps but I have to go over it a few times. I also save it for last , letting the lather soften it up as much as possible.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I'm a fairly fleshy guy, so my main problem area is the neck area under my chin... since it does not grow (the grain) from top to bottom, or bottom to top... The grain goes side to side, and, due to my extra chinnage, I have a hard time getting a clean pass there

I have the same problem under the chin/jaw(jowls?), the hair grows laterally, I'm still working on the best way to get it.

As for the problem brought up here, with the bumps on the chin, I do not have that problem, but it may just be your skin is still getting use to the new shaving method and the bumps will, eventually, go away. For now, if it hurts, don't do it. There is always more than one way to get a really good shave without that kind of irritation.

and let us know what you find.
