    Unhappy Ready but broke!

I have been using a sensor excel for about ten years now, and have tried to dabble with a straight. I bought one of those 5$ aluminum handles with aluminum disposable blades that you can buy at beauty supplies and found out the truth. I have been doing it for a few days now, but figured out that those blades are only good for one shave. Unfourteunately I am just a college guy between jobs so I cant afford a razor with strop. That is going to be the first thing I get when I get a few dollars! I love the straight shave, its just those aluminum blades only stay very sharp for a few passes.

If you can manage a few bucks, go to walmart and spend $7 on the VanDerHagen set. You will get a brush, bowl, and soap. You can start to learn proper lather while you save for the razor and strop. By the time you get the razor you will already be ahead on face prep.

I have had those items for a while. I used a brush and lather off and on again for years.

Definitely a great deal. Alternately the classifieds often feature great razors for cheap and you can always strop on your jeans or newspaper until you can scrape up another $20 for the Filly strop.
