Default Day 15 - Call it a DFS!

So, I'm on day 15 with the straight, and if I do say so myself, I think I got a DFS this morning! My technique is definitely improving. I found myself thinking as I was working on the upper lip, "Hey, that looks like Jockey's video!"

I did discover that my stropping was having no effect. In trying to have a light touch, I think I was mostly stropping the spine. So, the past couple of days I've been trying to make sure I'm getting both the spine and the edge on the strop, and the shaves have been better. Stropping is definitely my weakest area.

    Cheers,

    Fred

The best advice I ever recieved is 'do it, do it, do it'... patience and practice are the best teachers in this genre! good luck.

Better to have had no effect than to have rolled the edge by a heavy hand
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
