    Default New Member introduction "Villalobos"

I just got into straight razor shaving after I bought a 1k/4k norton waterstone to sharpen a knife for carving the Thanksgiving turkey and found that after I was done I could shave armhair with it. It was the first time I ever got a knife that sharp!

After that the interest in straight razor shaving just popped into my head and now I'm hooked.

After purchacing a Wade Butcher shoulderless round point, and a PerlDuck Special No. 1, that both need sanding, polishing, and new scales, I've got alot of questions so I thought I'd introduce myself before I started asking.

But, it's great that SRP has pictured guides for all repair and upkeep. Most of my questions were solved there.

    Thanks, Chris

    Smile Welcome, Chris

There's a ton of great info on the forums, Wiki and among the membership. Just remember that those blades can be more delicate than you might be used to with a knife. Good luck!
