Ok, so rather than searching around the net for different websites relating to straight razor shaving and DE shaving I figured I would ask the informed memebers of the forum so here are the two questions:

    1. What other websites do you look at for info on shaving (DE or straight)
    2. What websites do you order shaving stuff from?

List the website name and address, should have a good list by the end of this.

    Happy shaving!

If i can't find specific info i'm looking for i use google. So far I've bought from straight razor designs and classicshaving and i'd definitely recommend both. is there anything in specific you're looking for?

Nope, not looking for anything. More so thought people have probably found websites that a bunch of us newbies don't know about that could be helpful to people.

    1. SRP
    2. SRD
    Classicshaving (online and locally)

there are other sites I purchase from for restore materials but that may cause my list to drag on. There are also stores I would buy SR supplies from based on their reputation here alone (ruprazor comes to mind) but I have not had a need to purchase from them yet.

I actually joined SRP in an effort to find ONE good forum to call home. I also post on Badger and Blade, but I think that as I am shifting toward straight shaving, I will frequent here more often and drop other accounts. I think that I can rely on DE info from the straight shavers more than I could straight info from the DE'rs. I hate having so many forums to keep up with: Jockey Journal, Jalopy Journal, Garage Journal, sooo many Hot Rod forums, woodworking forums, metal casting forums, music forums, running, art, tattoos, guitar, blah blah blah... The reason that I am becoming so enamored with wet shaving is that is seems to be a block of time that I can enjoy BY MYSELF and not have a ton of fretting going through my head. Having to juggle multiple accounts at multiple sites would only add to it, it seems. B&B is a great site, by all means, but here recently I have really been impressed by both the helpfulness and generosity of the members of SRP more than any other forum or community that I have ever been a part of. That being said, I have not really bought anything from any online vendors as of yet. Sorry about the rambling diatribe.

For straight razor info I think SRP is far above anybody else. There are other forums with straight section, but on some the level of misinformation is so high it's not even funny.
    I don't use safety razor.

The big ones seem to be the best, they advertise on this forum and have threads in the vendor's section. I also like colleen's soaps so that's probably the small place I've bought most (thegentlemensquarter.com).
