    Default Hello!

Hey all. New to the group. My father used to shave with a straight razor. I've finally decided to make the jump over to a straight razor. Like the old style feel with the smooth feel i guess. I want to start learning how to use a straight razor. I know its not easy, but I want to learn. Guess I just wanted to introduce myself and start.

Welcome to SRP. You're in the right place. Check out the beginner's guide here in the SRP Wiki. You'll also find tutorials in the Wiki on your first straight razor shave, which razors to avoid and which you can assume are 'good' razors. Whatever you do get your first razor 'shave ready' from a reputable source or if you have one or more already get it professionaly honed.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
