Guys, I am really interested in strating to Straight shave. I really need Razor and strop. I am a DE shaver now so creams soaps and brush I have... I see a few starter kits at vintage baldes. Is there one that looks better then the others? is there a different place I should be looking at? thanks in advance for any help yall can offer...

As long as you buy from someone in the SRP classifieds or a vendor associated with SRP you should be OK. Please do not buy from ebay until you are confident with your judgement. Please check the wiki for things to avoid.

as for looks better... get what you like
the places with ads on this site are generally good but not all sell the razors properly honed

Thanked: 1I bought my first razor/strop combo for rupsrazor.com. its $60 for the combo. Id say that razor is my top performer. I only have 3 working razors to put that in persective. Ken put a wicked edge on it. Ive been shaving with it for a little over 6 months, Ive only had to use the pasted side once or twice since Ive been using the razor.
