Thread: Another day, another shave

Well today was #3 with the straight. The technique in stropping and in practice have already went way up. I am still inconsistent, rough and smooth patches, but it is an enjoyable experience. What used to be a 20 minute shower and shave is now 45 minute production, but my skin feels better than ever and it is quite relaxing. Hope everyone is enjoying themselves as much as I am with this, make sure to invest in a styptic pencil those things are fantastic. I still haven't worked up the nerve to rub my alum on my face, I know it will burn like the dickens when I do though.

Yep - mine too. But I remind her how many times she is the benefactor of my insanity and willingness to take my time to do the job right.

Same here.

My wife just lets me do what I want. I try to restrain myself when I can though, otherwise I would have a room full of razors, knives, stones, and audio gear. Man that sounds like a good time.
