Sounds like some good prices on some good finds. You need a camera. I'm looking for a good deal. Shoot, I just threw out a camera I couldve given you.

The notch on the end is a barber's notch. It is there to make you ask questions.

Also, they didn't have another Diamond edge shapleigh, I will post pics of these two razors this weekend.

I really appreciate the time you took to find out. I have a mint Shapleigh Diamond Hone with case and paperwork. I'm trying to find a Shapleigh Diamond Edge round point to make a 'set'. Thanks again.

The notch on the end is called a "Barber's notch. There's different theories on why it's there from Aesthetics to being able to open it with your thumb. Not to blow you off, but read our WIKI, it has wealth of information on Razor ID, repair, shaving, etc...Read it well, and if your interested, you might want to check out the Classifieds here and get yourself a good razor. You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a good one.

I've been reading the wiki, but I wanted some real input on that barbers notch! Better to be extra sure then go shaving the inside of my nose!

Hey Harkleigh FXT you will have to wait until I post pictures to be sure, but I measured that nick and it was 0.016" deep not 1/8th inch. .016 is a hair about 1/64th
