Strop Conditioning
I'm gonna be getting my first strop soon, its one of the basic razor/strop combos from straightrazordesign.com. Anyhow, I can't seem to find this on the wiki.
Does a strop need to be conditioned or broken-in in any way before you attempt to strop your razor for the fist time?

Thanked: 530The SRD ones need NO conditioning
And the Bridle (if you go with that one) is my favorite... But all their strops are GREAT items

Thanked: 530However, a great way to speed up break in time is to take the strop, pull it semi-taut, and just rub the palm of your hand over it until your hand is quite warm, and the strop is retaining heat... At least, that's the time frame I use... The palm oil is all the conditioning an SRD or TM strop ever really need. Just give them a good rubbing 2 or 3 times a week, and they'll see you through with flying colors
