Good advice? Hah, good enabling! You can do just fine without any of those things... but where's the fun in that. I don't know which is more prevalent.. How helpful these chaps are, or how much of my money they've signed away >.<

    Cheers,

And I'll point you at belgian double grit coticules and japanese polishing stones, along with the quarter micron diamond and straight leather, and it'll cost every BIT as much or more except of course you really DO need it.

    willow,

That's somewhat like the way I started trying to hone a razor, although with my various acquisition disorders, I did manage to get a couple of other additional hones before starting out on the path of attempting to get a razor shavably sharp. A path, by the way, which I'm still treading upon...

    Sounds like things went alright!

I'm in Calgary, by the way, and honing razors. You can
always send me a PM if you need some honing done or
if you're in Calgary and want to drop by and try out some
    different hones.
