Thread: Should I get them re-honed?

I've got two straights. I had them honed less than a year before I stopped using them altogether.

Is it time to have them re-honed, or will a good stropping do the trick?

If the former, does anyone know anywhere in Pittsburgh that does it?

You can always strop them up and try a little test shave to see. I have had some that have sat around for a while that definitely needed a touch up and others that shaved fine even after sitting a couple of years.
