Thanked: 13234Although I am good with the recommendations, and would love the work, I think I should mention my good friend Max/Maximilian who is one of the other top restorers on here, and who also does heirlooms, also happens to be Belgian so at least say hello to him too...

Welcome to SRP. Nice razor. + 1 to gssixgun's advice. Since you are in Belgium you may be near Bart. He has a website here where you can easily contact him.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

+1 to Glen or Max. They both do top notch work and you couldn't find better people to bring your heirloom back to life
Congrats!

Thanked: 0I checked out the site and once I get going with the shaving I'll definitely make use of that free honing , but unless I am missing something honing is the only service they provide no?

Thanked: 125Welcome!
To answer your questions about purchasing a straight razor from the classifieds... There are lots of members who will ship internationally from the US, and there are also a few members near your area that could be of some help. International shipping for a razor from the US is really not too expensive.

I think the comb like device takes replaceable blades.

Thanked: 0but since it obviously seems to fit over the razor you'd be working with a double straight razor then?

Welcome!
I can give another recommendation for Glen, he puts an awesome edge on razors and I love the restored razors he has on his website.
IMHO the comb attachment seems like a beard trim guide. Since it fits nicely on the blade.
Enjoy the journey.
