    Default Back to the HoneMiester?

As some of you have read I finished my 1st complete straight shave yesterday afternoon. Afterwards I stropped my razor. While I was not intending on shaving this morning I did decide to strop my razor and see if it would pass the hanging hair test as it did when I got it back from being honed. Unfortunately it would not no matter how I tried pass the hanging hair test. I'm sure this is due to my less than perfect stropping technique.
Can I get the edge back with proper stropping on my leather strop or is it back to the HoneMiester?

The best test is the shave test, if you can't shave with it then the blade might need a touch up on a CrO /Diamond spray strop, and if that does not help then you have to go to the hones.
So from your post it looks like you have not shaved second time? Test shave and see how it is.

This is why a lot of recommend that as a newbie, you forget about the HHT. It is a technique that must be refined for each person and can take a while. Like said above, the shave test is the best indicator. Everything else is just gravy.

*sigh* I get so tired of hearing about the HHT...if I didn't shave my head, I'd pull my hair out

I don't use a hanging hair test. That simple

But if I wanted to, I have access to people that HAVE hair that I could pull a few strands out and use...

I have a variation on the HHT that I use occasionally, and it's done with the hairs still attached to my arm, but mostly I just shave for the test.
