Having a new problem...

So, I recently got a new Omega 11137 Boar brush from my girlfriend, and I just received my new creams from CarrieM...I decided to try the lime -sample size- today, and had a weird occurrence... No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get decent lather.. I've been using a cheapie Amazon Best BAdger brush, with my creams and soaps (this includes a sampler of CarrieM's lilac.) and got great lather results... I've tried the Boar on a Mama Bear's soap and got good lather.. .So here's my problem, when I used the Boar with Carrie's lime, I couldn't get anything... Does the Boar need to break in more before it works well with creams? Or is a boar mostly for face lathering and soaps?

I used a soap and face lathered, it worked, I used a soap and mug lathered, it worked so-so, I used the cream and NADA.

Or, could the water in my scuttle be to hot, and that's the problem?

I'm leaning towards the boar not being broken in enough for creams, but I figured the scuttle may be it..

What's the rundown?

EDIT: It also took half of the sampler jar for me to get out 3 passes... My brush looked lather laden, but it never put more than the thinnest of lathers on my face unless I put another dolop of cream in the scuttle, whipped it and went STRAIGHTAWAY to my face
