Thanked: 0Mid-shave stropping
How many you strop in the middle of shave? I stop just before the shave and razor goes comfortable along the sides, gives me some pulling on the chin, but then pulling becomes quite strong once I move to the mustache area. Is it more or less common to do quick touch up on the strop in the middle of the process or it all depends on the structure of one's hair?

I dont strop mid shave, but I think if you are doing something and its working well for you, then keep at it!
Each member here will have different ways of doing things, and different methods for getting the best shave. If you have a method thats getting you the results you want, then its a good method!
Good luck!

I only strop before shaving. I have the same problem sometimes with pulling but I think it's to do with the lather rather than the blade. Sometimes it dries out a bit.
You might try just rinsing the old lather off and then put some fresh lather on or just lathering a section at a time and see if that helps. Could be your razor or beard though. Just a thought.

Thanked: 235I like to strop between each pass. This gives the lather time to sit on my face and soften the whiskers.

Thanked: 235Only about twenty laps on a small loom strop. It's more about letting the lather sit on my face for a bit than the razor needing to be stropped.
