I'm a newbie
I've been shaving every three days with my straight razor per recommendations to wait 48 hours to let the razor rest. Any suggestions for between times other than purchasing an additional straight razor? Thanks any help or ideas are appreciated.

Thanked: 4942I have used the same razor every day for a couple months at a time with no problems ever.
Now if you just want a second razor, then I would say resting is an absolutely necessary practice.........

Should I still use the strop before each shave?

It is recommended to strop before and after each shave. If you get a shave ready razor then you do not need to strop it before the very first shave. Razor stropping - Straight Razor Place Wiki

Thanked: 259i used to shave with the same razor everyday. i now have to wait between shaves as my skin is more sensitive.
you can always just buy another razor to put in rotation. of course once you by one more razor and then maybe another and then RAD sets in and you will be like many of us here
