Thanked: 0Gentlemen, i need some help!
I'm a young lady and my fiance has expressed to me that he wants to take up straight razoring, i have looked all over the web and am smiply confused by the amount of things there are to learn and to buy.
Does anyone have some advice? I'm looking for a razor that isn't too costly, that is shave-ready and that is atleast a little cool to look at. Any help is good help & is well appreciated, thank you all!

Thanked: 1903Shopping list for beginners - Straight Razor Place Wiki should have all you need, except vendor recommendations, because we do not provide them.

He should be aware, as fine as it is, straight razor shaving is something that requires a little study and preparation. Most men cannot just pick up a straight razor and be very successful.

Welcome to SRP Jessica. Where can I find a women like you ? Kidding aside. If you aren't sure what your intended might want to end up with the gift certificate from one of tne SRP supporting vendors might be the best bet.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 190With the different accessories that go into a great straight shave, you may want to consider a good badger brush that the SRP vendors can recommend along with the shaving soap.
He can put these to use immediately with his current shaving tool and feel he is a step towards straight shaving. You may want to let him choose/buy the straight razor to start out with since there are so many features to choose from. Plus, many straight shavers end up owning multiple straight razors.
Thanks for checking in with SRP and good luck with your decision.
