Thanked: 2need to be straightened out
I just got my first straight used it and did a great job at shaving, little to no problems.
UNTIL- I stropped ever since then I am getting redness and not a good shave.
How do I get the razor back to where it was, or do I need to send it out. Keep in mind I only shaved with it two times and it came shave ready.

do you have a hone? Sounds like you rolled the edge..You just need to give a couple passes on a barbers hone and then restrop. don't be discouraged..It has happened to us all..

Thanked: 1936Rolled edge. We've all done it...well, at least I have. Do what Wintchase said or send it off to have it touched up.

Sounds like you pooched the edge. Time to send that guy out for a rehone...the actual edge is REAL thin...think about 'thinner than tinfoil' and if you don't strop it right it's pooched. Don't strop enough and the job doesn't get done.
I suppose you can try about ten laps on a pasted strop to see if that will bring it back, but I doubt it.

Welcome to SRP Brick! First I'd like to thank you for disclosing that the razor shaved find and that the issue may be related to your stropping since the razor had problems after your stropping. Many newbies miss or omit that part.
The posts above are correct in that you probably rolled the edge on the strop. Others here have practiced stropping with a butter knife. To get the keen edge back on your razor you should send it to be touched up on a hone. If you have a canvas or linen strop you can try slowly stropping on the cloth a bunch of times and them back to the leather. If that doesn't work you should send it for honing and not try it yourself at this time. You may damage the edge more on the hone than the strop. You will need to get the stropping down to where you don't roll the edge or your razor will have constant issues. Read through the wiki above on stropping for some assistance. Good luck.“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Welcome to SRP. A + 1 to what Joed said. You may be able to get it back with stropping on linen followed by leather. Read the last couple of pages in the barber manual excerpt on stropping and honing in the SRP Wiki help files here.
Do what they say in holding the razor between the tips of the thumb and forefinger and practice flipping the blade. Don't do the stroke until you've become proficient in the flipping. Once you do the stroke don't turn the wrist but, as they recommend, flip the blade.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
