Did I do OK on this Ebay purchase?
I know that there are no steals on eBay, especially for a novice like me, but I could not help myself here
What do you guys think about this purchase? I paid $10.00 with $5.00 SH.
Thanks

Oh well, live and learn. At least I has fun
I was wondering why in the last 30 seconds all hell did not break loose on the bidding, I guess that now I know.
I will, I just doubled the size of my 'collection' for $15, they will give me something to look at...

Welcome to the club! I, too, have a "Selective." It's serving nicely as a letter opener these days.
I learned quickly: If it looks too good to be true, it is.

Well, now that you mention it, where else can you buy three letter openers for $10? I suddenly don't feel so bad!

Thanked: 1If it is not a good razor to shave with, it would be a good one to practice honing and stropping, perhaps.

I was thinking about that but if it is no good to shave with I'm not sure how I would be able to tell if my honing/stropping was sufficient. I guess that I could at least go through the motions...

You will not know until you get them.
Hone and strop them correctly and see how they shave.
If they do not hold an edge for a full shave you have three.
You may have found a bargain...
Honing and stropping takes practice... you will
not wear them out that way but you will learn
enough from them to more than cover what you
paid.
PS: I almost put a bid on them to see what they were.
Let us know....
