Thanked: 6First FULL Shave
Hey, guys.
Just completed my first FULL-FACE shave. I've lost count, but I think this was my FIFTH shave with a straight. I worked up to the full-face as many here have suggested. I was feeling pretty comfortable with the cheeks & neck, so I decided to go for the whole thing today.
It wasn't pretty, but I got the job done with minimal damage. A few little weepers on the mid-chin and a few little patches where I missed some whiskers under the nose, but I think this was a big leap forward in my skill.
Hopefully things will continue to improve as they have been. Just bought a nice barber's hone to keep my razors nice and sharp.

Ryan,
Congrats...
As for the weepers...That comes with the territory. As you become more proficient the number of nicks and cuts should decrease. Just take it slow and easy, perhaps addiing a few more minutes to your daily shaving routine with your str8 razor.

Thanked: 6Thanks for the encouragement, guys.
Shaving every other day right now to give my skin a little healing time. Hope to be shaving every day within a few months.

Very nice! That is a great feeling to get through that first full one is it not?
Like was previously said, the weepers come with the territory.
