I just bought a razor for SRD and did the same thing, forgot about the oil until after my order shipped.

    I'm weighing my options:
    1. baby oil (I don't care for the fragrance) $2.50
    2. food grade cutting board mineral oil. $7 at Bed Bath & Beyond
    3. laxative mineral oil $4 (i want to avoid the embarrassment of get this)

I would go for the laxative mineral oil. Since it is Mineral Oil USP it will be at least as pure as the FCC (food) grade and it is cheaper.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find in the hardware stores around here. Or maybe I'll just order the Camellia oil from ebay.
My razors are held up in customs at the moment, so I don't need it asap.

Thanks for the link. In the wikipedia article it is mentioned "Choji oil", which is 99% mineral oil and 1% oil of cloves. It is said to be used for centuries by the japanese to protect their swords. Found this on ebay. Maybe I'll order that instead

The cutting board oil is the same USP grade oil that is commonly
used as a laxative. Last time I bought mineral oil for my cutting
boards it just said "Mineral Oil, USP"... nothing to be embarrassed
    about.
