    I would go for the laxative mineral oil. Since it is Mineral Oil USP it will be at least as pure as the FCC (food) grade and it is cheaper.

    Thanks, I'll see what I can find in the hardware stores around here. Or maybe I'll just order the Camellia oil from ebay.
    My razors are held up in customs at the moment, so I don't need it asap.

    The cutting board oil is the same USP grade oil that is commonly
    used as a laxative. Last time I bought mineral oil for my cutting
    boards it just said "Mineral Oil, USP"... nothing to be embarrassed
    about.
