Thanked: 0Stropping and Honing in ABQ
I just got my first steel straight edge razor and couldn't be more excited! I've been using a straight edge for years but they were all disposibles so I have never had the joy of putting a proper edge on my blades. Right now however I don't have the time to get a proper strop and stones to get my razor shave ready. I am looking for a trustworthy metal worker who has the proper tools and would be able to get it ready, so if anyone can make any recommendations I would be greatly appreciative! I live in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area so please let me know if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks!

The classifieds have lots of folks who can hone that up for you. While it's away, you can continue to use your disposable straight and work on a strop. If you're handy with leather, Tandy Leather sells latigo in 2x48" strips that you can use to make a good strop, or you can opt for an SRD strop.

I know a guy in ABQ, but I'm not comfortable putting it out there without his approval. I sent him a PM.
