There is a definite comparison regarding quality somewhere in there though. Mass production and inferior materials tend to push some people toward yesterday's technology, be it cars, motorcycles, musical instruments, tools, etc. I venture to say razors as well, but in all fairness I have never used a newer razor so I cannot comment on the quality. But I do hear a bit from time to time about how certain lots of razors tend to have a "maybe I will get lucky and nab a good one" feel to them. I am sure that the higher end razors offered today are of a very high quality, but when I even see a newer razor mentioned in the pop up "summary" section of a thread, I pass on reading it.
