Thanked: 3Conditioning the face through shaving?
I've heard people say that it might take a while for the face to become "conditioned to shaving" (any type of shaving). I've read it from electric shavers needing a month to condition. I've also read the same with DE blade razors.
Why? What's going on with the "conditioning"? Is something happening to the skin/hair? Is the skin or hair being "trained"? What is it? Is the skin/hair changing?
Thanks,
Jake

Thanked: 190The skin toughens up a bit and some small minor changes take place. Areas that may have been "sensitive" are not as sentive.
I love straight shaving and it solved a lot of ingrown hair issues that I was getting from the Mach 3.
Good Luck,
Pabster

Both your skin needs to adjust to being scraped with a blade, as well as your technique improving when you start out.

Ever walk around barefoot outside. Its pretty uncomfortable for most until the skin on your feet toughen up. No different for shaving.
