Thanked: 1First shave
I just tried out my Dovo Black Star from vintage Blades llc. Everything went great no nicks. It took some time but when I got through i figured out i'm sold. There is no other way to shave for me. Thanks guys for all the support.

Thanked: 1371Welcome to SRP, and congrats on your first straight razor shave!
They only get better from here.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

first shave and anxious for the second! Welcome to SRP
Spud,
Still remember my first shave... I had a big smile on my face and fully expected to cut myself with this unbelieveably sharp instrument.. You know what I mean.. knife sharp and razor sharp are two different things..
Congratulations on a great first shave... It'll get easier but remain just as fun... When your confidence builds.... don't go to fast or add more pressure... common mistake is getting so comfortable that you move the razor a little too fast and add just a little pressure... don't ... let the razor shave your face....
Have fun... keep asking questions.... keep it sharp and keep your chin up...
talk with you later

Thanked: 1I used a good uber lather with men-u Premier brush and the ol hot towel treatment. It makes for a real enjoyable shave
