i have recently been interested in starting to shave with a traight razor...my skin is real sensative and my hair is extreamly thick! i normaly use as m3 razor and when i shave i dont get that clean of a shave because my hair goes in a thousand diffrent dirrections and i usually have to wait no earlier than 5 days later or i will get some seariously bad razor burn...i would really love to star using a traight razor instead of spending 10 dollars for a 4 pack...is a straight razor for me????

Welcome to SRP. It may be for you if you're willing to go through the learning curve. Like hi_bud_gl said take a look at the SRP Wiki beginner's guide here and you'll have a better idea of what the process is. Best shaves I ever got in my 61 years have been with a straight.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Welcome!

I was pretty much where you are when I started with a straight razor. I has a reasonably tough beard and sensitive skin, and the M3 was giving me razor burn and ingrown hairs.

Now I use a straight razor, my skin is not irritated and the shaves are WAAAY better..! I'd definately recommend them..!

Have a read of the Wiki that Jimmy linked and make use of the search function here as well, theres loads of great advice here and if you have any questions, just ask! We're happy to help!

Good luck and keep us posted!
