Thread: Mentor request

For some aspects of straight razor shaving, it is recommended that this "mentor" is located near your area so that you can be walked through the process. Nothing compares to direct hands on training. You can also have some PM mentor/s that can help you with subject where the direct interaction is less important. Ultimately, you can help your self by requesting help in particular areas using the SRP fora, and helping the process by doing a bit of research on your own (which you seem to have done already). In identifying a local mentor, I have seen people proceed in 2 different ways: 1) find people in their area using the members map (there is a link somewhere, I am sure that hoglahoo would post it within 5 to 10 minutes) and contact them by PM; or 2) start a thread asking for a in the area of interest, what you would like to learn, etc. This usually works pretty well.
