    Default mineral oil on stop

i made a stop following the wiki with a paint stirer. i was very impressed with it. did a nice job. but i acidentally got some mineral oil on it from my razor (storage). i got a lot of it off but i know some got absorbed by the leather. will it be ok or do i need to just pitch it and make another one?

    thank you

Something you can try is to wrap the strop in a piece of cloth and put it on a radiator on a LOW heat. This will sweat the oil out of it and the cloth will soak it up.

Odds are the only radiator he has is in his car. They aren't used over here any more.

A warm sunny windowsill will work quite well for sweating leather too. I personally wouldn't worry about it, the strop will be fine.
