Thanked: 0Sharpening advice
Hello everyone, I just got my hands on a mint condition Filarmonica Doble Temple 13, and I've read that new razors need to be sharpened. Does this mean new razors in the sense of recently manufactured, or does it apply to my "new" Filly as well?

If it is a NOS (New Old Stock) razor it needs to be honed.
I have bought 7 of the Filarmonicas as NOS in the last couple of months, and they all needed honing.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 0Is Max Sprecher a good honer? He says it'll only take about 10 days, which would be nice. Or should I send it to Lynn Abrams?

Who ever you send it to should be someone who has a reputation for being able to hone straight razors and has a known track record.
